From the Dick Jesse file;

Dick was our Pontiac salesman (we got five cars through Royal between '63 and '68) and a personal family friend.

As I mentioned earlier, dad did some work on this car:

Here's the "receipt" for our '65:

Remember the State Fair photo? Here's the envelope it came in:

Cool return address. For those who don't know, that is the address for Royal Pontiac in Royal Oak Michigan.

Good stuff, Keith! Appears Dick Jesse may've facilitated this transaction for Mr. Sherman, as well ...

LOL! He definitely was not one to let grass grow under his feet...

I'll have to drive by 103 S Main in Royal Oak and see what's there these days.

Arlen Vanke:

Tech Center fountain. I don't know how they take these photos - any time I park in that spot I get hosed!

Check out the garage. That's where she sat for about 25 years:

----The paint is really getting soooo bad on that 65 GTO at the Ford museum. Wish they would do something about it, but, hey, its not a Ford I guess.......Bill S

The paint on that GTO has been bad for as long as I can remember. It's like they shot it over the old original laquer and the repaint has shrunk into the laquer checking.

Far be it from me, though, to be judgemental about paint jobs on GTOs. The original paint on my car is pretty bad and is quite spidered on the horizontal surfaces.

In defense GFV&HFM they have changed the display around a little bit. They like to mix things up every 40 or 50 years to keep things fresh:

The've got jackstands under the front - I presume to simulate a good launch...
