----Charley,,,I'm sure there have probably been no fire experiences with either of your new rides, but do you have even a hint of worry about charging inside a garage? Not trying to be negative, but I don't know how I would feel after seeing some of those other manufacturers. The ones with problems (GM and I think,Tesla).....Bill S

Most of the Starbucks,Petes Fresh Mkt,Marianos & Whole Foods Grocery stores all have EV charging stations here.
You need your personal device to turn em on,but boy are they always in demand. |

I charge Sherri's Ionic plug in hybrid in the garage from a 110 outlet. Same thing at the office. I pay 7.1 cents per KWH.
I don't even have a "quick charge" cord, and don't anticipate getting one. Just curious. I KNOW that the charging stations charge more than they pay; how much more?

has anyone done a cost analysis to see how much it raises your electric bill to compare it to the amount you would spend on fuel?
what if you run out of battery out somewhere, what do you do? |

Pretty easy math. In SE Michigan the residential rate is about $0.18/kWh. Charley's Lucid has a 118kWh pack which probably requires more like 130kWh to charge all the way from dead to 100% state of charge, which is about $23.

That should get about 400 miles. I don't think very many people run out of battery. The car gives you plenty of warning and directions to chargers.
