One nice summer day as we were trailering our cars to race for the weekend, one of the wheel bearings in the trailer siezed, he hit the ditch to save the car, everybody was ok, it could have been alot worse but crap happens.

[/ QUOTE ] He is catching up !!! Look at the first post on this thread !!!

Don't mess with old farts - age and treachery will always overcome youth and skill! Bullshit and brilliance only come with age and experience.

-----While bad things can happen on the strip for sure, equally as bad things can happen to these cars every day of thier existence. On the way back from Scottsdale "Ol Red" got loose in the trailer and due only to pure, unadulterated luck very little damage happened.I used it as an excuse to go over a few things and freshen up a little.Another ten miles would have been disastrous.
-----Ask Bill P about trailering problems! Most of the time it seems as though its not the racing that gets us.
-----Yesterday I went to my storage building and noticed a rather large section of steel corrugated roof flapping in the wind.Thankfully it was at the opposite end of a rather large building, and not a problem to my cars but it could have been over mine just as easily. You just never know!..........Bill S

Becouse as mentioned, you never know what might happen to your car even if your careful. It could be destroyed at anytime no matter what you do, so drive it and enjoy. Here's a picture of my ride when i first got it.

Kevin,

About the only positive thing I can think to tell you is if in fact the seller is telling the truth about the steering, thank god you weren't behind the wheel when this happened. This is truly unfortunate for everyone involved, but we all know you'll rebuild it back to it's old glory and make it better than it ever was.

As Red Green would say, "Keep your stick on the ice, we're all pulling for ya".
