I have a couple original DH emblems, they are chrome plated. I have never seen a brushed aluminum one... are you sure its not just worn?... or is a brushed aluminum one something else I need to start digging for?

Here's a terrible picture of one of our original DH emblems...

And then a picture of an original emblem Howie has...

Looks like chrome plated to me!

I can't say I ever
saw that paint scheme before. Was it stock?

[/ QUOTE ]

Exactly one of the questions I had asked and never got an answer to. You will notice that the hood and side stripe is nearly the exact same scheme as on Steve Sandlin's original paint 70 DH Camaro. It was previously stated from a reliable source that because of the spoiler this car was probably a late August 69 car. Maybe this was the only 69 to get this paint scheme?

[/ QUOTE ]

My guess is that is Dick Harrells signature paint scheme.. The same stripe was on the DH Vega too as well as many of his race cars.

Marlin, you sure thats a DH Vega and not just a stripe styled after a DH one? I think I have a pic of the same car and could find no Dick Harrell markings on the car anywhere, just the familiar DH stripe layout.

No doubt. It very well COULD be a DH car, I just don't know...it would be cool to have more background info on it...wonder if it's still out there?
