Many think (because of Hollywood) that the Great White Shark is an Apex Predator. In reality, it isn't. The definition of an Apex Predator is: a predator at the top of a food chain that is not preyed upon by any other animal. Orcas (Killer Whales) terrify Great White Sharks because they prey on them. The Orca is a true Apex Predator. |

Whalers call the Orca the “killer of whales.” It preys on sperm,gray,fin,humpback,and other whales.Even great white sharks. |
