Great find, that car was certainly orange from the factory. I'm glad that NCRS could provide origin info on the car.

The Warranty booklet with Protecto plate and other paper also showed Dana but it was nice to confirm with the NCRS stuff.

I believe the color first became available around 1950. Used on a lot of trucks.

that is going to be a killer looking car when done! I think I like that color better than the hugger orange actually. Kevin's 427 car has always been one of my favorites, now I got to add these rare Zs...

That's a neat find for sure. The CL / eBay links are a nice addition to the site & we should all appreciate the members who spend their time doing this imo

So, what are you gonna do about the rolled rear fender lips? Fix 'em when you repaint it?
I've had 2 CA cars with em rolled and although I wish they hadn't been, it also seems like it's part of a car's DNA & heritage, so to speak

Leave the rear wheel areas as is, in my opinion.

I would try hard to see if any original paint can be saved.
