REDZ and Kevin, I did not see the T-bird go across but for that kind of money it would have had to been nicer than the one Milt had a few years ago. That was probably the nicest restored T-bird I had ever seen. They were meticulous with the details and fitment of that car. I am talking early Rolls & Duesenberg type fit of the doors, trunk, and hood, all of the gaps were exactly the same. How many cars can you close the doors or trunk and completely latch them with a finger? Not many. They even went as far to align the plaid pattern for the trunk mat to the side pieces and tire cover. Of all the cars Milt had, that was the nicest restored one there. If that car at BJ was a comparable car then I can see the price being that high. What color was that car? Was it a rare color that made the price go up?
The T/A Challenger really surprised me but the color is what sold it. Out of 2400 T/A's made only 7 were Panther Pink according to Galen. That makes the car even rarer than it just being a 4spd....................RatPack................... |

There was a lot of mistates at Barrett-Jackson Reggies old black copo was supposedy be # matching I taped the show and still framed the dash and there WAS a A/C dash in it whats up with that??? A 57 De-Sodo convert for 71K???? B/J stated that it had a 345hp /346 Hemi engine. Still framed it had a 392 2-4/bbl carb engine that was only available in the Chryler 300 checked the books there was no 346 ci only a 341 with
1/4bll carb What I trying to say is I dont think you can tell what a car is worth by what is sold at the auction case in point 56 T-bird????? Norm |

I wouldn't even guess a price.I'd Leave that up to the buyers. That Black L-78 Convt.is from NIAB and sold in 1990 to Dave Simpson. It is the original drivetrain, and has documents. But it is a terrible resto and not maintained in 11 years. He parked this car next to me at ACES Tenn. show in June 2000.I think he should have taken the 63K bid.And as stated earlier, the higher quality restorations seem to command a higher price. |

I don't recall Reggie's Orange/White Camaro COPO being represented as a Yenko?
BTW, did anyone educate Reggie regarding his stated production numbers for Yenko Novas? |
