Also looks like silver paint on head next to intake bolt. Other areas are too hard to tell or bare.

Also looks like silver paint on head next to intake bolt. Other areas are too hard to tell or bare. [/ QUOTE ] My understanding is that area was painted with aluminum/silver paint to cover bare metal between head and intake. This also why the intake bolts, engine lift brackets and distributor hold down had aluminum overspray. I believe this is why the wirestands were touched up by brush (due to silver overspray). These are the areas/details jewels of information that can only be found on true survivors. Any overspray on the valve covers??

Apparently the the drivers wire shield brackets were installed before the engine was painted... the pass were one piece and installed afterwards. It may have to do with how the manifolds are shaped... mid exit on drivers vs rear on the pass.
It looks like the silver was sprayed in order to protect the bolt heads from flash rusting.

. [/ QUOTE ] Also a great shot of the trunk spatter detail. This one seems to be a more stringy one, as compared to the round blobs. Mike ![]() |

Probably not. Too much to ship it back and forth. I will probably attempt to have it at whatever show Ashton puts on in Chicago in November. I can then get Norman and his brothers there with the car also.

GREAT TRUNK SHOT. FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN ON LA CARS THE TRUNK SPATTER IS STRINGY COMPARED TO THE NORWOOD CARS. KP

Charley, when you get a chance, could you update the hood and trunk stripe dimensions called out in the 1970 Camaro Assembly manual on sheets B2 and B3 of the Z28 option code using your car for reference, then post them for all to see? The dimensions shown are for Norwood built cars. Thanks,
Paul
