Any Lowes or Homet Depot has a polished concret floor in it also... Looks pretty nice actually, not as nice as a coating, but like you said, no chance of it ever peeling, which IMO, any coating has the potential to do eventually.

Terrazzo is not concrete or cement. It is a slurry mix of portland and usually marble chips and after curing it is ground with a floor machine with stones to a high polished finish. Very expensive and a dying trade.

I like Terrazzo We installed it once in a hyperbaric chamber at the Travis AFB in CA - the knuckleheads pressurized the chamber before the floor was completely finished and ruined it Nice stuff.

Yeah that was what I was trying to remember the name of. That is what the floor at my home is. It was a converted two car garage into a pool room. I bought the house back in '89 (4800 sf)so cheap. (It has almost one acre on top of a hill, 3 blocks from where the PGA is held here in Tulsa for $190,000) One of the first things I did was convert it back into a garage.

The old bodyshop floor is just polished regular concrete and not near as expensive as the floor at home would cost. It is still a great value and tough as hell.

I think the fact that it is very cost effective and tough as hell makes it a good choice.
