I made my reservation at the Hawthorn on 3-2-06. Tell them that you are going to the Gibbs car show and they will give you a special rate. It is also a nice place to stay.

Great news Jim. Hope to see you there!
If you're spending two nights you might consider the second night's stay in Macomb. You'll be closer to LaHarpe, and for your trip back home on Sunday.

The Amerihost and Day's Inn are the most popular choices for the Show folks.

I made our reservations @ the Hawthorne Inn today. It sounds like they might be getting filled up, so I would suggest not waiting any longer.

We're in the Hawthorne for Friday night, then moving to the Days Inn at Macomb for Saturday night. If anyone is interested in reservations at Macomb for either night, here's a few contacts:

Days Inn, Macomb 309-883-5511
Amerihost, Macomb 309-837-2220
Super 8, Macomb 309-836-8888

All three are located near at the North edge of Macomb, and within 1/2 hour of LaHarpe.

For what it's worth, I talked with the Monmouth Hawthorne Inn today and they're booked up for Friday night, August 4th.

There are still rooms available at the Super 8, but I wouldn't wait much longer if you plan to attend!

Also, I think I transposed numbers for the Days Inn in Macomb.

The correct phone number is 309-833-5511

Sorry for the mistake.

Sounds like a PARTY! Cheetos and Garlic dip are good and Howie's in charge of the! I'm no good at cards so we're playin' for tooth picks and swizzle sticks! Rummy's OK too but Howie would drink the 'Gin'!!!

See y'all there!
