You probably don't want my opinion.

Stripes or not, the main thing is that it's a black LS6. Can't get any better than that. As most have said leave the stripes on the car for the next owner to decide if they want to keep them or not. I wish I had the funds, I would buy it in a heartbeat.

The thing about the stripes is that I truly believe Charlie can find someone to handle the job properly. I think a lot of folks who have issues with the stripes being added probably aren’t confident that they have access to a painter/detailer who can correct the situation without a repaint. If Charlie handles it properly, then that issue goes away. It’s like removing a vinyl top-sure it can be done with care and blending but who really wants to open that can of worms and risk having to do a full repaint? (Also black Chevelles don’t need stripes to look mean)

I'd leave it alone and leave up to the buyer, or take a substantial deposit on the car and then handle stripe removal on behalf of a buyer if they really want them removed, but do not want to take on that task themselves.

If it wasn't a survivor I'd leave the stripes on it for sure. But the significance of it being a survivor makes me think they should be removed.

If I were a buyer I would want them removed based on the originality of the car but if so I would want to see the completed work before signing off.......I would want the onus on the seller not me at this price range.

Not likely an issue but my research (when I had our '70 LS5 vert) restored was that the stripe dimensions can vary by build date. Stripes became wider or narrower (don't remember which) if I recall correctly at some point in the production calendar. So if the stripes stay some may want them totally correct. I doubt many would know or care.

Amazing LS6 for sure........good luck.

Yeah but what's more of a survivor, leaving the stripes or removing them and repainting the hood?
