Default Gm big block windage trays ????

Here are 2 pictures of gm stock windage trays. One 5 hole with 7 mounting studs the other 4 hole with 5 mounting studs. They are from the jenkins competition parts that i have. Trying to figure out what they are for???? L-88 zl-1 ??? Thanks joe

thanx for posting this. I've got the 4 hole version, not sure where I found it. I posted it over at the corvette forum and nobody knew.

L88 and ZL1 [corvette] 5 hole flat tray. All corvettes 396 427 454 1965 thru 1974 used same trap door oil pan/tray.

I have 2 of the shorter trays. The part number was 3879640. The common flat tray replaced this design, and the curved tray was discontinued in 1970. The longer tray may have been designed in response to someones practice of welding two short trays together. (the reason I bought two). The application of the longer tray was probably used in full length pans used in marine or off road engines.
