Ram air hoses/duct
Buddy of mine has a 68 442 he restored and the ram air hoses for the air cleaner are distorted from heat. He drove the car twice and they are looking bad. He said it has plastic wire in it and not going to hold up. Does anyone have ideas on where to get something better?

Re: Ram air hoses/duct
The originals are like a material with metal wire, and the NOS are more plastic.
I have contacts to get you any info on OAI you want:-) Ryan

Re: Ram air hoses/duct
Fusick and Supercars Unlimited have decent reproductions, which are cloth-type hose with wire inserts. Early GM NOS hoses were assembly line correct, later NOS were made of shiny vinyl.

Re: Ram air hoses/duct
I have the originals and a set of what were NOS before being used. I'll glad send pics to whoever would like to see the difference. Still haven't mastered posting pictures here.
