There are a lot of companies out there that provide "Restoration Services" on automotive gauges. I am looking for a company that can restore vintage style Stewart Warner gauges. Any suggestions anyone?

I have used Instrument Specialties in Rhode Island for SUN tach and gauge face repainting. Ask for Thomas.
I am not sure if they have worked on Stewart Warner, but would guess they have. http://www.instrument-specialties.co...uges-clusters/ Here are a few pictures of repainted faces they have done for me. The look is original, but SUN never did what one of my friends wanted !!! Hope they can do what you need. Dominic

The Stewart Warner gauges need cosmetic and mechanical repair (i.e. capillary tube repair). They appear to be a full service company. Hopefully they specialize in that type of repair.

Those mods to the Sun gauges are really cool.

I just had an original Stewart Warner mechanical/capillary tube oil temp gauge restored by Mo-Ma Manufacturing in Albuquerque, NM.
They did a fine job, and were able to rebuild with a longer capillary tube than original, which provided for a better fit within vehicle. http://www.momamanufacturing.com/ |

When they replaced the capillary tube did it resemble the original capillary tube including the bulb or did it resemble modern materials. |

Mo ma is good - we used them for all the vintage ferrari stuff.
Not cheap, but good!
