Default STOLEN: 68 Z-28 paperwork from Auburn

This made the front page of the Sunday Fort Wayne Journal Gazette. Very disturbing story for me to read, that some dumb a** would do something like this. I have attached a link to the newspaper article.

I would bet that he had duplicates, at least I hope. With a car that rare copies are better than nothing. Hopefully thay can be found and returned, by taking the wifes purse maybe the thief thought it was money and will have the heart to return the docs. Wow that sucks!!!

I keep all my paper work in a nice, heavy, fire proof safe. It's hard to imagine someone didn't consider the value of these papers enough to have left it unattended (in a purse--which is already a target for unwitting thieves) for even a few minutes, anymore than they would if they had a suitcase with a million or more in cash.

Interesting that the car had a police escort and no one thought about the original paperwork that actually adds some legitimacy to some of the value of the car (even though it's still worth about as much without the original paperwork, since they have copies and people can see the car is real/legit, I'd wager--but still!)

Sadly, the papers are surely in a landfill being sifted around by large bulldozers, being ripped to shreds or burned by now, after the thief tossed the papers in the trash--unless they read the article in the paper and decided maybe they'll keep them now.

They may see this and want ransom for them now...I saw a binder full of docs...it wouldn't fit in a purse....just crappy luck...

The guy proablly dosent realize that the papers are worth more then whats in the purse. Sadly the guy proablly dumped the briefcase not knowing it's value, then realizing his mistake was to chicken to go back and get them. Hope Al gets them back.
