1969 Camaro standard grill
From what I've read the bone colored plastic was used to mold the first grills & the last grills were molded in black plastic. What was the time frame when gray plastic was used? Thank you, Joe

Back in the day the service replacement bone-colored grilles arrived painted argent.

I don't recall ever seeing black plastic grills as assembly line original on 1969 Camaros?

So Dave. You're saying your original grill was molded in black. My grill is black like it should be but it was NOS years ago. The discussion seems to going towards there's no such thing as bone & that it is actually gray & possibly gray was used to make black & silver grills. Your comment would change that thought. So maybe Chevrolet molded a gray grill & a black grill.
