Default Nice day at the track

A bunch of guys got together and rented National Trails Raceway for the afternoon. First time out this year for me and some of the guys.
Hope you enjoy!
Since some of you were asking about Grady Burch, here he is with something new...

Some of the northern Ohio guys headed south on a perfect day to test and tune. This sleepy looking 350 SS, running old school slicks and open headers got down into the 12s.
It did require a little dialing in...

It also helps to have a hot shoe driver to help sort things out. Dave McGaffee (grumpystoy), in addition to being a master craftsman, is also a talented driver.

Does this car look familiar?

The 22 on the windshield is a clue. M22 Mike came out to play, too.

There was a new Nova in town as well. Rich was a little late, but it was worth the wait to see this car.

Rich did make a few passes, but he was being cautious about hurting the original bits that are still in the drive train.

This is another COPO local to Columbus. For a first time on the track, it did OK. Dave said that there was more wrenching needed, but this car will run in the 11s when done.

This wicked looking 2nd gen Camaro runs in the high 7s.

Since it was such a nice day, I had my picture taken. As Bruce can attest, the best way to stay out of the picture is to be the guy taking them. I drove out to the track, ran about 5 passes (13.92 with a passenger), then drove home.

This is one bad Mopar. 1964 Barracuda.

Lastly, the name says it all...

Owned by Bill and Allison Kuhn, (that's Allison walking across the track at the end of the clip), she puts on a helmet to pilot the car also.
That's all from...
