Default Well Preserved 1969 AMX Super Stock

In 1968 Plymouth produced factory built Super Stock Darts & Barracudas, Ford introduced a lightweight 428 Cobra Jet Mustang to ultimately compete in the Super Stock class. Not to be outdone in 69 AMC introduced their own Super Stock AMX. These were the ultimate purpose built factory built race prepared cars of their day.

Cheaper than the $7200+ price for the 1969 ZL1 Camaro. More in line with the 1968 Hemi Darts ($5,146) and Barracudas ($5,214) Chrysler was selling the year before and you had to finish those cars. The 1969 S/S AMX was a turn-key race car sold to the public.

Always admired the way that body style looked.
Even when standing still,it still looked like it was going fast.

Love it!! That side shot looks like the front tires are taller than the slicks. I know the slicks will balloon some, but the fronts look big!
