Gorries Chevrolet dealer emblem wanted.

I am looking for a dealer emblem from Gorries Chevrolet of Toronto, Ontario. It was approx. 2" x 4" and it said Gorries Downtown on it. See a photo here:

Well, I'm back on the hunt for a Gorries dealer plaque. Canuckvetter contacted me to tell me he sold the one he had to a guy in Michigan in May. I was just a little too late.

Story of my life. LOL

Try sending a PM to Lance Hill 'Midyr' on this site.
He's the best guy and an old racer/wrench who worked at/with Gorries/Belmont/Golden Mile through the glory years and may be able to help you track one down.
Make sure to give him your Serial # too as I believe he has some paperwork from these dealers that Jerry Coffey had given to him before he passed away a few years back.
If you reach him, please forward greetings also tell him to drop by the site a bit more often as he can probably shed some light on a few recent topics such as the Olds in this thread...

I have spoken to Lance several times. He is a very knowledgable guy. Unfortunately, he does not know where I might find a dealer emblem. I spoke to a former mechanic from Gorries also and he said does not have on either but he remembers the cars. I have been looking for a while now and it is very frustrating.

I PM'ed Lance and he remembers building the car new or almost new for a customer but can't remember details on it.

I contacted the guy in Michigan that bought the dealer emblem off of Canuckvetter and he is unwilling to sell the emblem. He said he collects dealer memorabilia and it is now in his collection to look at. I tried to convince him it belongs on a car that came from Gorries but he is not budging. Oh well, the search continues.
