Default A lil' torqued outta shape maybe?

Was browsing through some old photos I've gleaned over the years, thought some here might get a kick outta this.

Eric

p.s.

Notice the Alston Chassis billboard just beside the car. I'd say a phone call is in order.

Looks like the way the Red Alert would leave the line!

Must be something to do with the flexxy frames under those cars.

This one is "Carolina Thunder" driven by Danny Goveia. Somewhere around a 500" 409 in a 62 bubble.

I wonder how many times the passenger side door handle has been replaced from dragging on the starting line?

I figured it'd be a runner...just a white-knucklin' S.*.B. on the launch. I've had to wrestle a few ill-handling rides off the starting line, but those take the cake.

Still cool tho.

Any 10sec "X" frame car can be set up (mis-set-up)to do that on launch. IT's done on purpose for crowd appeal and appearance money. THose cars could be easily set up to run straight and level...and with better ETs.
