Wow. Considering all the cool classic cars that usually attend that event, I wouldn't consider these 5 cars stolen a high target. Sorry to hear it though. Really puts a damper in the activities.

I wonder if the ease of stealing 90's GM vehicles is why those ones were taken.

When I first seen this on WSOC news I thought the vehicles were stolen for their drive tran.

The expensive cars are all bugged these days.

Vehicle trackers are cheap and you can hide several in a car.

Wire one to stay hot under the dash.

Small battery units in the quarters and under the seats.

Then there is the passive systems that are not active until scheduled

This is why the crooks park the stolen car in a public area for several days before they take possession.

LOJACK Systems are good and effective. They are hidden on the car and when the vehicle is reported stolen the device is pinged to law enforcement who can track the vehicle location.
