Default 1969 chevrolet copo camaro, #'s matching 427, m22, owned by john cena - $125,000

https://losangeles.craigslist.org/sf...212163533.html

From the ad:

1969 CAMARO
CENTRAL OFFICE PRODUCTION ORDER (C.O.P.O) 9561
L72 427/425 HP

• Numbers matching, and date coded correct “MN” code L72 427/425 hp engine

• Numbers matching M22 4 speed transmission

• 12 bolt “BE” rear end, with COPO specific 4.10 heat treated gear set

• Frame off restoration completed in 2006

• Purchased in 2007 for $175,000 by WWE Wrestler and actor John Cena

• Built the first week of December 1968, which still used the narrow 1968 rear spoiler

• Sold new January 3rd, 1969, at Courtesy Chevrolet in Phoenix AZ

• Very early production COPO. Documentation from Courtesy Chevrolet manager stating that when this car was delivered, they were told it was the very first COPO 9561 car produced, and Dick Harrell was there upon delivery

• One of very few early COPO Camaros to receive factory “Chambered Exhaust”, which was later discontinued due to the fact it exceeded noise regulations in almost every state

• One of only 7 believed to be built at the GM Los Angeles assembly plant, in Van Nuys

• Documented with original Protect-O-Plate, and warranty information booklet

This car is a beautiful example of high performance Chevrolet history. Frame off restoration completed in 2006, but looks as though it was done yesterday. The color looks brighter in pictures, but is a very correct Garnet Red in person. I would guess the car spent most of it’s life in Arizona, or the Southwest, as floors, quarters, trunk, door, etc., all appear to be factory original.
Engine appears to be the original, solid-lifter L72 numbers matching engine to this car. It is VIN stamped, and still has the original broach marks, indicating the block has not been decked. 3963512 block, casting date of 11/6/68. Correct 840 heads with the same casting date. Holley List 4346 GE carb, date coded 8A2. Transmission is the rock crusher M22, also VIN stamped.
This car was driven quite frequently by John Cena, and is currently driven to cruise nights and shows frequently by the current owner, however it is meticulously maintained, and appears fresh from restoration. The car was also featured in chevyhardcore.com. It would be best to discuss the details of the car on the phone, and I can answer any questions you may have. As with any car of this price, collectability, and caliber, I would advise buyer do their own due diligence to satisfy any questions of authenticity. I believe the car, the documentation, and media coverage of the automobile speak volumes.
