Mecum auction
Mecum had a restored 67 Z as one of featured cars. Unfortunately, it was a totally made up car with a repro tag on it. And I had a pic of the original tag. Finally pulled from the auction. http://www.camaros.org/forum/index.p...ic=14308.0;all
Now I notice they have a "COPO" LS6. https://www.mecum.com/lot-detail/HA0...e-Ls6/4-Speed/ Really? No. It's a special order color, not a COPO. Kinda big difference....

Re: Mecum auction
So does the guy that registered the car just get away with this? Does not seem right, especially if you get caught red handed.

Unless COPO gave it a 427, it never means much more value,so im sure that error could be just an honest mistake or misunderstanding of the word. It sure sounds like a neat special order color cloth interior ls6 if the buildsheet is real.

Re: Mecum auction
This is an original NA9 California smog car. It is too bad when it was restored all of that was not reinstalled as it was all there. Ugly stuff but so rare that it was worth putting it back on.

Re: Mecum auction
A true stripe delete car, that someone inappropriately put black ones on today. While so many grossly mis-use that term, this one can claim it.
Black Rivar bench as well. |

Re: Mecum auction
my question above, was not on the LS6, I am curious about the 67Z with the fake tag, as a feature car. That type of stuff ticks me off. No harm no foul? Turn an H into an R on a cuda, and you go to jail. So nothing on a fake Z?
Someone should post the VIN of that car, so when it is googled by a future potential buyer, it gets flagged here. Nice work Kurt. |

Re: Mecum auction
The ls6 would be so much cleaner if it didn't have stripes.

Re: Mecum auction
----Rick,,,I have always thought that if you got a cowl induction hood you got stripes. The low mileage LS6 black convert out of Iowa was ordered without the hood because he (according to him) couldn't get an all black car unless he got the standard hood.......Bill S
