FYI Bill
The 1970 Standard SS Early hood did not come with the hood pin holes.
Those were added on as no Early style Standard SS hoods in 1970 had hood pins.
Later Design Standard SS hoods did get hood pins starting in 1971 and continued in 1972 for the Chevelle SS..

Default Early design 1970 Non-Cowl hood

Thanks Danny for pointing that out. As we have found through much research, only Cowl hoods got Hood Pins in 1970, so I can assume, someone added them to my car prior to 2003 when I purchased it as a rolling project. It is the original Hood my car was built with in the 4th. week of March in 1970 built at the Arlington Texas Plant (which they did not build any Chevelles until January of 1970 being a Full size car and pick up truck plant). Still it's an Original, early Hood and that's kinda Cool being 48 years old and still rust free. It IS only Original ONCE. (I purchased an NOS hood to finish my car so everyone knows)
