Sorry to hear that. I thought it was pretty cool when he was driving the Jack Clark /Taco Bell top fuel dragster. You don't usually get Indy stars switching to dragsters but the opposite has happened several times.

Terrible news. One of the truly Nice Guys. Unpretentious; no ego.
We were walking through Gasoline Alley at Indy one year and he stopped his golf cart to offer us a ride. Took us back to their garage, offered us drinks and sat and talked for 30 minutes or so. You don't see that much from someone in his position.
I'll never forget that.
