Default Original engine convertibles.

I know this question has been asked before but I would like to know if anyone has current info. The 67 Camaros are of particular interest to me. Thanks.

Looking for known 4k rags and info on the number of original engine rags. With 1138 total it seems more rags would surface.

Only ones that I know of is the Bat Car and George O's. I don't think too many are around.
I have one (with a CE block). Let me know if I can be of any further help.

I know where an early May car is that’s cowl tag says 4P but the P Plate say MQ. No engine setting in a garage for many years but NFS. Sherman G. and I have discussed this several times about how many were built. He says under fifty.

Thanks for the response. If you look at the 67 Z28 registry there are just over a third known of the 602 built and that registry has been around a long time. I think under 50 seems a little low but if there was a registry we could make a pretty good estimate.

Phil, the 1138 represent all 67 Camaro L78's. Convertibles l78s are ultra rare, and would estimate 10% or so of the engines were installed in convertible so perhaps 114 L78 convertibles were built. There are a few enthusiasts that focus just on 67 L78's and they may have better estimate based on their data.

Default Verts

I bought my car in 1995 and have been interested in the 4K’s for quite awhile. You don’t see many coupes and especially vert cars. I remember seeing one in Hemings around 97 or so. It was ermine white with white top drag car in Canada. Richard from Coast To Coast had a purple one, Sherman’s Bat Car, George’s car, the white one the guy won’t sell. All I can think of, just not many I know of.
