Default Show your rare chevy parts..

I just saw a post about the headlight delay system on the 70 Chevys that I never had seen or knew existed. And that AC collection with the OS traction option...wow.. I parted over 200 early camaros and Chevelles back in the day and thought Ive seen it all. I know there are so many more rare..obscure..NOS...even prototype parts out there that I have never seen. I thought I'd make a post just for that reason.... how about it guys... I'll post a few of mine in the next couple days..

Great topic as there are possibly a lot of neat parts out there.

The only thing I can offer are photos of a customer's 1970 Pilot Chevelle interior. It was the 42nd car built on the pilot line and had vinyl wrapped over metal rear seat arm rests compared to the assembly line plastic ones. They had the part numbers written in marker on the back of them. These prototype panels are part number 8799609 compared to 9806311 for the assembly line plastic one. This car is full of unique parts and markings, most of which are marked with "PILOT" on them in yellow tape. The front door inner frames and the trunk lid are different than assembly line pieces.

I also had 2 sets of rare liquid tire chain option, 69 only from what I hear, this set up used a red under dash button that would sprayed a chemical from canisters mounted on the rear inner fender wells in the trunk, if you got on ice and tires spinning, this was suppose to make traction. 2 of my donor cars, used in restore of my 69 convertible, both had this option(what are the odds of that!) These were put up for auction on fee-bay back (before our economy went bad)and brought stupid money. Can you imaging filling canisters with bleach and spraying tops of you tires at a red light and do a smokey fr^&*g burnout down town. cool stuff in 69
if you do a google search you can read and see pictures of this

I have this NOS heater delete plate for a '67 Caprice. I can't imagine too many people would have ordered a top of the line Chevrolet without a heater.
