Were those Ruxtons actually originally painted with the multicolor stripes?

some models sported Joseph Urban color schemes designed to lengthen the appearance of the car through broad bands of white intermixed with vivid colors such as blue, lavender, and navy blue . Many, but not all, Ruxtons featured the cat-like Woodlite headlights; while sleek, their performance paled in comparison to normal headlights. Most Ruxton owners soon learned that they either drove their cars during the daylight, or had them retrofitted with normal headlights or auxiliary driving lights

Joseph Urban who designed the color schemes was a famous designer and architect of the 1920s

The Ruxton had a bunch of issues concerning investors in the car company. Only 96 cars were ever made. It is believed that 19 exist today.

The cars in the photos I posted are valued at around $450,000 each.

No shortage of 67 Chevelle Super Sport hoods in the wild . . . they're all on 67 El Caminos! Too bad that isn't the case with the ultra rare 1967 SS427 hood
