“TOP 25” VEHICLE OFFERED FROM THE MS CLASSIC CARS COLLECTION


Now known as “The Boss”, this stunning 1947 Ford Super Deluxe Sedan Custom is a one-a-kind street machine and multiple award winner. It commands respect wherever it goes with striking appearance and extreme attention to detail. It’s been completely modernized to provide the ultimate driving experience. It’s accompanied with the original owner’s manual which is included. It was owned by Mrs. Alexander from California which is documented with original service receipts ranging from 1966- 1976. It was then owned by Mr. Byck from California which is documented with original registrations ranging from 1977-1990. These original service receipts and registrations are also included. In 2012, it was purchased by Mr. George which he discovered at the Goodguys Nationals in Pleasanton, CA. It was painted Black with purple to blue tribal flames. The vehicle was sent to well-known Roseville Rod and Custom for a complete body off restoration. The no expense spared restoration is documented with miscellaneous photos through the various stages which are shown in the photo gallery. It achieved a Goodguys “Ford in a Ford” award and “Top 12” honors award. In 2015 it was a Goodguys “Top 5 Finalist for Americas Most Beautiful Street Rod”. In 2016, it was awarded “First in Class” at the Sacramento Autorama. In 2017, it was awarded a “Top 100 Car” by Street Rodder Magazine which also included a photo shoot which is also shown in the photo gallery. All of the awards indicated are documented with articles but not included. Since completion it’s been driven 2,450 miles. This vehicle has everything going for it and is a “Top 25” vehicle offered from the MS CLASSIC CARS Collection.

The exterior of this street rod is rolling artwork with its stylish 40’s design and gorgeous appointments. The body is extremely straight with excellent body gaps throughout. The hood, doors and trunk lid shut beautifully. The car was re-finished in a custom Silver Metallic paint that has been named “Silver Mist”. This color is absolutely stunning especially under bright light and fits this car like a glove. The paint is virtually flawless and was recently detailed to a high quality shine. It’s one of the best paint jobs on a vehicle from the MS CLASSIC CARS collection. Era correct louvers were added to the hood for appearance and cooling. The factory cowl vent is fully functional. The factory hood center ornament, fender trim and rear trunk lid trim was removed for a custom look. The front windshield trim was removed and replaced with rubber seals for a one-piece look. The door glass vents were also removed for a one-piece look which provides better visibility. All of the tinted glass was replaced new and is crystal clear throughout. The traditional rear oval glass is timeless. Everything on the exterior
was restored or replaced such as the Ford Super Deluxe emblem and front grille, headlight and marker light bezels, Adjure Prizm Trillient motorcycle headlights, fabricated chrome front bumper, chrome dual mirrors, chrome side moldings, chrome door handles, chrome lower moldings, taillight and bezels, fabricated chrome rear bumper with Ford logo. The car sits on custom Budnik “Muroc III wheels that complement the color and trim perfectly. The wheels are wrapped with Nitto NT555 Extreme tires that are 225-45-18 on the front and 245-40-20 on the rear.

The interior of this street rod is also artwork with its rich craftsmanship throughout. The interior was designed to be extremely comfortable and user-friendly. The entire cabin was wrapped with Dynamat for supreme insulation. It’s was outfitted with all new wiring throughout which is neat and orderly. The dash was painted a soft black and has two ashtrays with sliding covers in the original location. The interior was done by well-known Dave Putnam Upholstery which looks amazing. The headliner was re-finished in a two-tone gray material with a large center piece that appears like a panoramic roof. The matching sun visors have black brackets. The upholstery was re-finished in gorgeous dark red leather with a pattern design. The upholstery includes the panel under the dash, kicker panels, door panels, center console, front seats and rear seats. The Wise Guys front bench seat has a center armrest, reclines and slides on tracks. The Wise Guys rear seats have side arm rests. It’s equipped with both front and rear black modern seat belts. Some of the custom bright work includes the rear view mirror, inner windshield trim, dash trim, gauge bezels, dash vents, dash knobs, Ididit tilt steering column, gear shift lever, turn signal lever, Billet Specialties steering wheel with red wrap and door hardware. The Classic Instruments VDO white gauges include fuel, oil pressure, water temp, volts, speedometer and RPM. It’s equipped with Vintage Air Conditioning that blows ice cold. It’s also equipped with power front windows which are operated with the window crank that appears to be manual. The rear windows open two different ways including a few inches sideways and all the way down. The modern Kenwood sound system consists of a head unit, amplifier, front and rear speakers. The waterfall front center console has AC knobs, gear select indicator, cell phone holder, cup holder, power outlet and air ride controls. The plush black carpeting, Billet Specialties pedals and black emergency brake lever seal the deal. It’s equipped with keyless remote door locks which also includes the trunk. The trunk compartment is boxed and completely carpeted. The removable front panel is upholstered to match the interior theme. The Accuair tank, compressors, Optima Red Top battery, stereo equipment and wiring is accessible behind front panel. There is a battery cutoff switch for storage purposes.

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout with many custom features. The firewall and inner fenders were painted body color which looks super clean. The era correct style black hinges look the part. The billet transmission dip stick with braided line was mounted to the firewall which looks neat. The heart of “The Boss” is a Ford Racing built BOSS
302 V8 engine that’s rated with 340HP @ 6,200 RPM and 365 TQ @ 4,800 RPM. This engine utilizes all forged internals making the X2302E crate engine an excellent value and solid foundation for any per combination including forced induction. It has 9.0:1 compression ratio, BOSS 4-bolt main block, forged pistons, forged steel connecting rods, hydraulic roller camshaft, double roller timing chain, forged steel crankshaft, roller rocker arms and Ford Racing aluminum GT-40 cylinder heads. The engine has been outfittted with Ford Racing black finned valve covers, polished thermostat housing, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 600CFM carburetor with electric choke and black finned air cleaner. It was dressed with a Billet Specialties Tru Trac polished pulley system which looks amazing. Some other features include an MSD ignition system with black Taylor wires, heat shrink hose clamps, braided lines, Power Master high torque starter, aluminum power steering reservoir and stainless bolts. The engine is cooled by an era correct style Walker radiator with large SPAL electric fan. The engine breathes through Sanderson ceramic headers and a stainless exhaust system with Borla mufflers. This exhaust system was professionally fabricated and sounds awesome! The engine is coupled to a new ATO Ford AOD transmission that shifts smoothly. It’s equipped with an aluminum driveshaft. The power is transferred to the pavement through the Ford 9” rear Tru-Trac rear end. The rear was power coated gray to match the frame and suspension system. It’s setup with 31 spline axles and 3.78 gears.

The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout with many custom features. The undercarriage should be displayed with lights and mirrors at a car show to highlight the beautiful attention to detail. The underside was re-finished in a satin black textured paint for durability. The original frame was boxed, re-enforced for extra strength and then power coated gray to match the rear end and suspension system. The Heidts Mustang II front suspension system includes power rack and pinion steering, tubular control arms and QA1 shocks. The custom 4-link rear suspension system includes QA1 adjustable shocks. The entire suspension system is equipped with Accuair E-Level air ride which works excellent. This system is very advanced and includes 4 sensors at each corner that adjust according to weight. The power braking system consists of a chrome power booster, Wilwood master cylinder, Wilwood four wheel disc brake with polished calipers, drilled and slotted rotors.
