Just my opinion so take it or leave it...

You're looking on the wrong end for that 10...my car is within 1-2 tenths of you at the 330' mark...and I leave from an idle. Leave the 4.56 in it, your hp peak is identical to mine (with ex. manifolds even) and I go quicker shifting past hp peak...think about it, you want it to fall back into the power not have to re-accelerate the engine...I only short-shift it if there's a traction issue. It's not your intake/pump/fan holding you back. How tall are your tires? Is your cam retarded/straight-up/advanced?

Great pass and great mph though!

Rob is dead on.

It shouldn't lay over like that past peak. Mine peaks at ~6K but will pull strongly all the way up to the 6800 rev limiter setting.

I have several thoughts if you're interested, but rather than clutter up this thread with tech, give me a call if you'd like to go over them.

Ok. Here's a proposal. Next year. Schoenthaler Restorations will supply the trophy for the COPO Pete Simpson memorial bracket shoot out. Run the cars, check your time slips, find the number you think you can run, put it on the window, and lets see whose king of the hill. No box, no electronics. 20.00 entry fee. Winner can keep the money, give it to charity, back to the reunion fund, or buy drinks for everyone.

Pete was one of the coolest guys I've ever met. Unfiltered doesn't even describe him. I miss him and his crew. What do you all think?

I love the idea of a memorial to Pete! I probably would not have much of a chance to win but I AM IN!
By the way I like Jason's idea of a Bar-B-Q on Thursday evening.

Count us in for the racing. Also, like the idea of the BBQ. Hopefully we can get around sooner next year so we do not miss out.

Count the green machine in .... Jason's barbecue on Thursday night will be a blast the food is remarkable. He takes great pride in his barbecue and how he prepares his food. It would be a good start to a fun weekend
