This rare 1998 Ford Mustang Cobra Convertible is a one owner vehicle with only 2,657 original miles. This vehicle is #344 of a build of 3480 which is documented with the Ford SVT Certificate. As the Mart Auto Works “Deluxe Marti Report” indicates this vehicle was ordered as an “A Plan Vehicle” from Gorno Bros Inc. located in Woodhaven, MI. It was ordered with a Chrome Yellow exterior and Black cloth interior. It is one of only 555 Cobra Convertibles painted Chrome Yellow. It is one of only 12 Cobra Convertibles with cloth interior and one of only 5 with black cloth interior which makes it very rare. It was also ordered with the following options in no particular order: front floor mats, remote keyless entry system, power 4-way driver seat, power windows, optional axle ratio, traction-lok rear axle, P245/45R17 black sidewall performance tires, fog lamps, leather wrapped steering wheel, speed control, anti-lock brakes, electric rear window defroster, air conditioner, AM/FM/Cassette stereo radio, illuminated visor vanity mirrors, black convertible top, power door locks, premium sound system and single compact disc player. This vehicle was not ordered with a rear spoiler which also makes it very rare. It was built and shipped to dealership on December 15th, 1997. It was sold to a gentleman who lived in Grosse Ile, MI on December 19th, 1997. This gentleman owned the car for 24 years before selling it to MS CLASSIC CARS on November 8th, 2021. The ownership history is documented with on the original title and with the clean Car Fax report. The following items are included: copy of Ford Invoice, Deluxe Marti Report, Ford Delivery Checklist, Ford SVT envelope, owner’s letter and Certificate, odometer statement, plastic bag and owner’s manuals, Gorno Ford document folder, service invoice, advertising brochure and SVT Enthusiast magazine.

The exterior of this beautiful Cobra is in outstanding condition. The body is free of any dents, dings or scratches. The paint was tested with an electric paint meter by MS CLASSIC CARS and is 100% factory original paint. The paint is virtually flawless with the exception of a couple of tiny chips. The paint was recently detailed to a show quality shine. The power black convertible top is also in outstanding condition. It works excellent and fits tight with no wrinkles. The factory original black convertible top cover is in excellent condition and included. All of the factory original glass is crystal clear. The mirrors, headlights, taillights and emblems are so in excellent condition. The car sits on the factory original 17” five spoke alloy wheels with black SVT center caps. The driver’s side front wheel still has the factory green inspection sticker on it. The wheels are wrapped with brand new Nitto NT555 245-45-17 tires that were added by MS CLASSIC CARS.

The interior of this beautiful Cobra is also in outstanding condition. Everything in the interior is factory original and in working order. It has never been smoked in and still retains that new car smell. It retains the factory original stickers on the driver’s door jam including the VIN number sticker. The cloth sport bucket seats are very soft and extremely comfortable. As listed above its equipped with many features that makes it very user friendly. The trunk compartment is super clean and free of any odors. The factory original VIN stickers are still on the inner quarters. The factory original stickers, spare tire and jack tools are in excellent condition. MS CLASSIC CARS added brand new trunk lift supports.

The engine compartment is highly original and detailed throughout. The backside of the hood retains all the factory original stickers including the VIN number sticker. The hood installation is in excellent condition. The inner fenders still retain the factory original VIN stickers. The radiator support still retains the factory original stickers. It also retains all its factory original stickers and tags in the engine bay. There are no signs of rust, oxidation or deterioration. The car is powered by its factory original 4.6L SHP 4V DOHC V8 engine that was rated with 305HP and 300 lb-ft. The signed SVT plaque is still on the passenger side valve cover. The engine runs and sounds awesome through the factory original dual exhaust system. The air conditioning system and cooling system works great. The engine is coupled to the factory original 5-speed manual T-45 overdrive transmission. The power is transferred to the pavement through the optional 3.27 traction-lok rear axle. MS CLASSIC CARS re-charged the AC and gave the engine a tune up including flushing the coolant.

The undercarriage is also highly original and detailed throughout. It still retains the factory original stickers, tags and paint marks. There are no signs of rust, oxidation or deterioration. The underside was undercoated when it was new to keep it from rusting. Overspray from the black undercoating can been seen on some of the miscellaneous parts underneath such as the body, gas tank, exhaust and suspension system.

IMO cloth seats are a plus in this era vs. leather. Ford’s leather in the late 90s SN95 just did not hold up. GLWS!

Very cool. I just looked at the BAT listing for your car and it was in beautiful shape!

We just so happen to have a 9,500 miles Laser Red 1-Owner Cobra in our inventory along with this Chrome Yellow car so that's exciting to see
