Default ZL-1 Engine Collection

Have my ZL-1 (3) Engine collection that I wanted to give members here a first shot before going on eBay this weekend. Reserve at Mecum was $105,000 for the Trio. I have receipts for all engine work. Here is the link: http://www.mecumauction.com/auctions...D=SC0506-37175

Not to state the obvious, but I would bet they may bring more and sell quicker if broken up into three transactions. That's a lot of horsepower!

Separating the package is open for discussion........ Maybe someone can give me an idea which is worth more: the Yenko block, or the original 69 dated block?

I always thought the original block would be worth significantly more, but some of the recent sales for bare blocks and partial engines makes me think differently.

John,

In the Mecum write up it says that the 69 block was thought to have come from #38 but was later determined not to have. Did it belong to one of the 69 cars or is it a replacement block?

I think the original '69 block would be worth a fair amount more.

Jeff:
I can't verify, but I believe that this block was an over-the-counter block and not assigned to any one of the specific 69 built cars.
