So what do you think the special paint would be that is referred to on the window sticker?

The owner said he removed the stripes but I can't see any evidence of it ever having stripes. My guess is the owner got tired of people telling him it couldn't be a Z28 because it doesn't have stripes.

In 1973 the stripes were an option. In 70-72 i think they were part of the z28 package. Does anyone know if you could stripe delete in 70-72? Like charley says, if it had no stripes then could be a factory cowl tag mistake. Charley do you have a paint guage to see if the hood and decklid has been painted?

There have been other 70 Z's which have been ordered without the stripes, but I think there was no .XX behind the Z28 line on the TTag.

I was wondering if the .00 cost on the build sheet means that there was no special paint/delete, but no one seems to know if there would be any cost to that (hence the .00 cost) on the BS.

Cool car though, and original.
