I updated the album: https://onewaystreet.smugmug.com/Bar...ottsdale-2022/

Yes, dead batteries and running out of fuel are constant problems. I ended up with a Mercury Turnpike Cruiser late on Tuesday night that had a dead battery but we managed to charge it enough to go the distance. I ended up with the next to the last car Thursday night, a 2012 Boss 302 Laguna SECA with a dead battery. The mechanic was pissed at me because I did not raise the hood before his arrival. What he did not see was my struggle getting into the car, bending myself around the seat bolsters while doing all possible not to hit the Cobra parked tight next to me. Oh, and then there was the 5 drunk idiots laughing while taking bets if I would hit the Cobra or not. I didn’t.

Yes, I have tons of stories!

The good consigners arrive with at least a 1/4 tank of gas and a fresh battery, or at least a healthy battery. In the heat of the moment, a disaster could happen. Late last night a ‘70 Chevelle SS was pushed up and over the block (dead battery) with the hood wide open because the right hinge was damaged.

I didn’t get that car.
I post the cars I get on Facebook, but many of you are not on FB. Let me see what I can do with this thread, maybe just post a lot #.

"with the hood wide open because the right hinge was damaged."

Hood hinges are one of the most ignored things on a car.

Yup...world has gone bat$hit crazy. I just saw some orange and white RS Z/28 with poorly done stripes, T/A radials and a host of obvious errors in the engine bay go for $145,000

And what's with that one that went for $220K today. An RS Z/28 going for over $200K....like seriously?

WiFi at Westworld sucks, so posting on Facebook and here was extremely slow to non-existing. I started the day driving a silver 1971 Mustang Boss 351 and ended the day with a Grabber Green 1971 Mustang Boss 351 that sold for $180K. Had cool cars in between. The big buck cars cross the block tomorrow. I’ll update my album tomorrow as o am very sleepy now.
