Default 1111499 distributor stamp

Hello all, can I ask some opinions on this distributor stamp? Does it look legit and is it a known date? Much appreciated. Rob

Hate being a bearer of bad news... but it looks like someone was trying too hard to make the 4 look correct by putting punch marks at the corners of the 4, but they missed. Also looks like the last number on the 1111499 used to be an 8. If you have the distributor in hand, measure the diameter across where the 1111499 is stamped. Should be 3.814 inches if it hasn't been turned down.

Thanks for the info John. I don't have it in hand. It's for sale and i was considering it. Glad I checked with our group here first. Much appreciated. Rob
