Vern was lots of help when I was selling a 409 Impala for a friend. He really helped educate me on the unique qualities of the 409 engine stamp. He will be missed.

Verne really knew about M/T wheel caps and spinners.He sold me these spinners and inserts for my '64 Camino.I'll think of him when I look at them.Thanks Verne.

So sorry to hear. I knew when this day came I would once again wish Verne could have composed a Late Great/348/409 reference book, since I can no longer bend his ear and access all the data. RIP.

RIP Mr Verne Frantz!!!

He was the Encyclopedia for 348-409 cars. I always enjoyed reading his posts pointing out whether a car was real or made up and I learned alot from him. He surely will be missed!!

I had spoken to Verne a few weeks ago, and I understood, his book was almost complete. I believe he was cowriting it, although I can't recall the name. It would be ashame to let his research go unpublished. He certainly wanted to share his research and knowledge for the good of the hobby.
