Default Chamber exhaust on a Camaro convertible

I know solid lifter camaros built before December of 68 came standard with chamber exhaust. I was told that convertibles, chambered exhaust was never available is this true

Post Chambered Exhaust...

Check out the dog dish caps with the rally wheel trim rings...I always thought these were a pre-production photo item. Looks like they were RPO...

Curious to hear what the gurus think......

Option P06 $21.10. 2,401 built.

NC8 chambered exhaust also initially standard with L34 350 hp 396.

I tried to buy this off ebay a few years ago. This is an old picture of it, early 70s maybe. It was not this nice on ebay. Anyway, it had dog dish and trim rings. RS SS L78, deluxe interior. It was quite the machine

Assembly Manual lists the same p/n for N66, P06 & ZJ7 [SS] 3956775

So it looks like the wheel was painted body color when the dog dish caps and trim rings were used. Mine came with the N95 wire wheel covers - still had one on it when I bought the car. Gawd-awful ugly, IMO.


I wonder why they cancelled the N66 wheel option? IMO that was the best looking wheel that was offered. Only about 300 installed. Now you see them everywhere.
