Sorry, the VIN I have referenced that started out as an X55 and morphed into a X33D80 is 124379N561026 and I have changed my post above to reflect that.

Seen it so many times. Bidders walk right past the paperwork displays about the car and bid on shiny paint and eye appeal. Two frame off 435hp corvette converts , both marroon went through BJ 3 years ago. One real w build sheet , one a clone w l89 heads. The clone went first and outsold the original car by 20K. Not sure why theyd run consecutively.

There's some crazy prices on old and new(er) stuff.

Did you see what the Vipers were going for? Gen 1 and 2 cars that were in the low 20's a year ago are now triple that. The Gen 5's are now selling in the high 200's. The same thing that hit the Ford GTs several years ago now seems to be turning these cars in speculator investment objects.
