New curve for sure but being a '66 L79, is it possible it's actually orignal?
This block was advertised here previously w/ complete 2-Dr. Post Vin + delivering dealer info, how is that part known?

Yes, I know delivering dealer info is available by Vin but I was wondering where the complete Vin come from - Engine pulled from known Post car or someone adding hardtop/post prefix digits to last 8 stamped #'s and sending them in trying for a match?

The block in question is in my possession. It's typical Willow Run engine stamp for 1966 Nova. I have 5 other Willow Run stamped blocks. Two still in cars. Norwood is small print for 1966 Nova. Willow Run is large print for the 1966 Nova. I have numerous small print Norwood stamped blocks also. With NCRS you start with high percentage model number 11837 then 11637 and 11411. That's what happened with this particular block. I missed on 11837 and 11637 and matched on the 11411. I bought the block from a well known seller in Ohio. Chuck knows him.

Awesome info, very cool stamping is original also great you have real examples to compare with anything that surfaces.
Thanks for confirming you're creating whole Vins to run through the NCRS service and kudos for what you're doing also posting whole Vins for anyone Googling to find.

Looks real to me.......certain 65 66 67 pad stampings have been known to be very creative.
