Default John P's L78 Ragtop Chevelle...niiiiiice car

This one looks like fun !!!! SSL78/John P owns this one....summer is almost here !

This 1969 Chevelle SS convertible was sold new at Baston Chevrolet in St Cloud MN. When it was ordered new by Norman Rudnisky he must have had some drag racing in mind. He ordered it with the 396 375 H.P. engine, M-22 and 4:10 posi. Some other options are: Soft ray, strato buckets, power top, console, sport striping, special suspension, sport styled wheel, special instrumentation and am radio. It has 68k original miles, the interior is still all original down to its carpet. It is documented with the P.O.P., shipper sheet and many service records by the original owner. The car someday will receive a frame off resto but received a frame up restoration for now since I still enjoy putting the top down and doing some cruising

John, nice ride. got a chance to see at vettefest and it is a sweet car. Also cool it came out of minnesota as well! Not everything that comes from here is a rustbucket.

Thanks Chad, I talked to the second owner of the car last week he lived in Prarie view Mn. He said he owned it from 1978 until 1991 and only put about 3500 miles on it. Thats what probably saved it from rusting away. What surprised me was in 1978 the asking price was 5700.00 he ended up paying 4300.00. Thats about what it sold for new 10 years earlier.

This car has been for sale on carsonline for a long time.

Did it change hands?

No, John Platania still owns it. One of my all time favorites.
