Default source for NOS lock sets

Repo door and trunk lock sets aren't correct. Anyone have a source for correct NOS locks? Thanks

Hey Tommy,
There was a fellow out of Calgary, Alberta selling N.O.S. lock sets for a while. I believe his name is Graham Browne. This is the only fellow I have heard of.

The key slots are straight on the repops, on the originals they are cut to fit the contour of the key.

You can put a new cap, key door, and spring on an old lock. What I do not remember is if the caps have the notch for the key. The old cap can be removed but it is a major PIA to do.

I have not seen any repro locks with the key shape.

I've heard they are coming on the repro market soon, but can't find out when.
Some Repro Manufacturers are starting to get down to the brass tax on some of these parts. We shall see...

I get a handfull of locksets from a junkyard. Dismantle them and use the best key doors for your correct keyed locks with new caps............Most any locksmith will carry the new parts needed, just get a nice set of slotted key doors.

Just to be clear, the replacement caps have four tabs that are bent over the backside of the lock cylinder to hold it in place, while the original caps were crimped all the way around the cylinder. When the cylinder is off the car, its very evident. It may be concealed for the most part when installed on a car.
