'69 435hp Corvette turned L88
Way too expensive for my taste, but a cool story nonetheless.

----As it sits with all the extra stuff, both original and other, this 69 is IMHO a $35,000 to $37,000 car.....Bill S

The add says that a new L88 short block was installed. To me this means that the original iron heads were used. The iron heads would have been closed chamber and the L88 would have open chamber pistons if it was a '69 model. So maybe it was a '67 or '68 L88 short block? Or maybe a complete '69 L88 was installed and the add is wrong?

While the "Buy It Now" price is too high, and Bill S estimate is probably accurate, it is a cool car.

Reminds me of my original paint Daytona Yellow 1970 LS5 convertible that the original owner converted to full LS7 gear in 1972 - everything: J56 brakes, L88 hood, L88 rad support and rad, over-the-counter LS7 454 engine and Rockcrusher fully built by Diamond Engineering in Detroit with 2nd design L88 heads ,who was heavily involved in building the McClaren ZL1 racing cars back in the day. Factory Kal Kustom L88 headers and sidepipes, oldredalert checked the car out. I got $33,000, went to England.
