You can buy them at Lectric Limited. The difference between originals and repops, if you look in the upper corner of the bulb the repops have a very small "DOT" running vertical. The originals do not. Others very well may have noticed other differences. I can tell you from experience, putting the originals in can be a PITA. You install one and in a week they burnout. They are also very dim. But if you are showing the car and not driving at night go for it.

I have used their headlamps on a couple of my cars and have been satisfied with them.

I've got a bunch of the old T3 headlights, and every time I test one to see if it works it burns out in a few seconds and turns the inside of the bulb white.

They are called sealed beam for a reason. Sealed with a inert gas. After sitting for years, even NOS ones, the seal around the contacts leak and as soon as you fire them up they smoke. It is very scetchey buying old lamps, JMO. MIKE |

There's a guy that sells T3's at the Packard Prov grounds swap here in the Detroit area, it's in May, I'll get his number. He has a whole table of them. But you'll have to wait till spring. Lol
^ he's rite, I was hunting down OG guides for my 78, it doesn't take much to make them smoke. Pita trying to get all 4 working, then you gotta get a few spares. Last edited by Burd; 03-07-2018 at 02:20 PM. |
