As time marches on, bits and pieces of our past are lost, never to be replaced. I am sorry to have never met her, but she sounds like 'One of the Guys'. A dandy for sure and never to be replaced! Godspeed!!!!!

The last time I got to see Donna Mae was at our 40th Yenko Stinger Reunion a few years back. She was her usual fun loving self. Full of stories and memories. She was getting around great too. Who would have guessed....

She is and will be missed. May she rest in peace.

Following Brian’s invite to SCR12, I called Donna Mae to set things up, She was really excited about attending another SCR, telling me how much she enjoyed the first one. We had a nice visit, talking about a lot of things, even the 2010 Yenko Camaro project. She thought that sounded really neat.

I will really miss talking to her, as there always seemed to be excitement in her voice.

May she rest in peace.

Here is a nice page with lots of great pictures, she was one of my kind (an autocrosser and road racer, not a drag racer).

Default + Donna Mae Mims on NPR +

On NPR radio a message was given on Donna Mae's final request.

It was Fantastic for me to meet her, and go over the letter I have, that she sent, and signed to Dana Chevrolet from Don Yenko to have the 3 Dana Corvair Stingers built.
