Here comes a lawyer,here comes a cop.
Here comes a rich, here comes a car-hop.
Goin' on forever, ain't ever gonna stop.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Well, name your gun, son, shoot your shot.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.

Now rich man, poor man, beggar man, thief.
Doctor, lawyer, indian chief.
Don't ever start to ask them why.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Well, name your gun, son, shoot your shot.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
All right (All right). Oh yeah (Oh yeah)
All right now (All right). Oh yeah (Oh yeah)

Man at the top says it's lonely up there.
If it is man, I don't care. Build a big white house.
Build a parking lot. Everybody wants to be the man at the
top.

Here comes a banker, here comes a businessman.
Here comes a kid with a guitar in his hand.
Dreamin' of his record in number one spot.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Well, name your gun son, shoot your shot.
Everybody wants to be the man at the top.
Say right now (All right). Say yeah now (Oh yeah)
Say right...Who's the man at the top?
Who's the man at the top, now? Some people are right....some people are wrong....everybody wants to be the man at the top.

No concession at all. The FACTS, borne out by photographic evidence, is that not all high performance '69 Chevrolets received engine ID decals.

Your "facts" are incorrect. The COPOs Yenko received for the 1969 model year were built by Chevrolet with 427 engines. All Yenko did was add stripes and emblems. You didn't know that?

Good news for all; I'm done here. You think what you want.

I'm with William on this. I see what looks like pics of orig cars with stickers missing and believe they came that way. Easy to leave a sticker or two off on a very unique build car. I used to own that silver Copo on the icehouse link and remember those 69 pics.

This discussion was never meant to be about a few stickers on or off......
Charlie, the reference to the way it came, on the Silver COPO.... 3 Weeks afterwards with modifications and removal of original pieces is not the best source material

Some people need to read a little better..

I have no dog in this fight...but. One of the first things an owner does in three weeks of ownership is peal off the air cleaner decal?

And I believe there are pictures of factory installed air cleaner/hood seals installed upside down.

I am confident that many cars left the factory without air cleaner decals. I have had more than one car with the aftermarket style dealer decals on the air cleaner that had been there since new. I'll try to dig up a few pictures of the decals I am talking about. I think many of these issues were left to dealer prep and many dealers couldn't care less. As far as Yenko cars are concerned, didn't a Don go with the early 66 corvette L72 HP figure of 450? That would explain the 427 decal with no HP decal on the Chevelle.

This is one of the reasons I'm glad I'll probably never be able to own a car like the one in question. Grown men start off by checking out a cool car, then they end up arguing about stickers.
