'65 GTO, Orig Paint Tri Power, 4-sp, Transistor Ignition, Wow.
I know we've talked about this one in the past but I can't locate the original post. What a neat car with great options and a nice color combination (and CA black plates). Judging by the pics, the paint definitely has some issues - anyone seen this one in person? Also looks to be a massive ding in the driver's front fender.
Really cool car but I'm thinking the buy-it-now price is a stretch in the current market. If the original paint were pristine, sure. I have to say I'm in love with that pristine original red interior, though. Link to 1965 Original Paint GTO auction |

The paint on this one looks more like mine, in terms of the lacquer cracking/hazing.
I can tell it's a Fremont built car without even opening the attachments (Fremont taped over the cowl tag so that they were unpainted). Repop or restored Rally I centercaps - they should have a black stripe around the top of the dome (a detail most folks miss when purchasing new caps or restoring old ones). This auction is timely; there is a red '65 survivor on the cover the POCI magazine "Smoke Signals" this month. I thought the cover car might be this one, but I see now that they are two separate vehicles. K

Ah - I remember taking issue with this comment.
I always gag a little bit on the hyperbole. I can dish it out but I can't take it... K
