Default '65 Corvette Fuelie Convertible

Definitely one of the cars I wouldn't mind seeing in my garage every morning. The ad shows a picture of the deck stamp but it's clearly been decked - does anyone have a feel for whether it's an original stamp that was just gone over with a rotary cutter, or a restamp?

Pretty cool - here is another '65 Fuelie, with the inverse color combination as the original car I posted:

----Can't help on the pad except to say there are doubts. Its the trim tag that has me wondering. I have looked at a whole bunch of trim tags on 63 to 67 Corvettes for the last 55 years and I have never seen one that crisp. In my opinion it had to have been replaced. Don't know why, but do see badly done seat covers. My guess is somewhere down the line someone made it a white gut car to make it pop a bit more. Can't say I blame them as the car really stands out in this color combo, but,,,,, still wrong. Small chance the car was as delivered with either destroyed or missing tag, so I'll give them a little bit of leeway, but if that's the case they should have disclosed it!
----The white car is a beauty but I can count on one hand the number of 65 fuelie's delivered with side pipes The timing was very very tight. I can say I know positively of only one as I saw it days after it was delivered new and I know exactly where it is today. Same goes for the red car. You would have to prove it.....Bill S
