15x8 with a 275/60 will fit with 5 1/2 backspace, I don't know if cragar will custom make or not. I have 15x7 with 4" backspace and L60's

Don't you have to roll the lips when fitting 15 x 8 rims and 275/60 tires on a nova?

Nope, but I did have to run 1/4 spacer on one side to keep tire off shock.

H70 I used to run on the back in the early 70's with a 7" rim. No issues. I like 7" wheels in the back and 6" wheels up front. 7's in the front are to wide for me. JMO
Not sure an L60 will fit without a wheel well wrap up because you may have to run a spacer to keep tire off the shock. Air shocks would help. I have also run 6" Cragars on the back with L60's and spacers with no issues anywhere on a camaro. Trial and error. |

Didn't want to start a new post and thought this was close,
I have a '69 Nova and want to go to bias tires. Firestone 6.70/15 in the front, the rears I would like to have a bias but want to keep my tail pipes and don't want to raise the rear. Was looking at the Coker L78-15 with a 7" wheel. What do you guys think ? Also saw Camaro in Muscle Car review running the new MT sportsmans and looked at those, but would like a more vintage tire tread if I could. Also looked at the MH 275/60 but they say to use an 8" rim minimum. Would like to run the Pro Tracs but they say the same thing. Thanks for any and all help/pictures.

I had the vintage Keystone modified to a 15x8 and am running the M&H on my sister's 69 Nova. It is tight but if you want to make them work, you can.
To stay off the shock, there are options with relocating the lower shock mount, via a traction bar or simply using a shock that doesn't have a tin dust shield. I post a pic in a bit |
