Hone - O - Drive
Is there anyone who has had any experience with the Hone-O-Drive units? I am just learning about them and I am just curious how well they worked and just interested in hearing anyone's personal experience with them..

Re: Hone - O - Drive
did you try the Hone site?
Someone reintroduced the Hone Manufacturing Co and is making some of them again and some of the parts http://hone-o-drive.com/ |

Re: Hone - O - Drive
I understand that they can handle about 600 HP/TQ. If I were building a car I would put one in as I love the flexibility for street and strip use. IIRC it'll take 4.88s and reduce the ratio to approx 3.40 for easy highway cruising. You are going to have to cut a hole in the floor for the H.O.D. Shifter and there may be some holes required to accommodate the support bracket for the unit itself.
P.S. The site shown above for H.O.D. still only shows availability for Fords - no GM.
