Default 12 bolt rear rattle can paint suggestions

Been hit a million times I know, but cannot seem to locate any recent ones. Pulling the 12 bolt rear to, do axles, freshen up and detail. What is the popular consensus on rattle can semi gloss.? SEM Trim Blk, Rustoleum 7777, Krylon.? Thx in advance

For that application, I have, and would recommend, the Rustoleum.

Not sure if you have VHT branded rattle cans in the US as we do in Australia, but if so, I’ve had great success with VHT roll bar and chassis in GM Satin Black. Lays on comparatively well as opposed to their other products, is very durable and seems to be an indistinguishably close match for GM chassis black/semi-gloss black.

I used the 7777 and Krylon in my past resto projects. I felt the 7777 is soft paint and takes a long time to harden. The Krylon is a little better than 7777. Recently I have been testing the Rustoleum 2X gloss for an air cleaner and was impressed. Covers well over bare blasted metal & dries quicker and harder than the 7777. I have not researched the 30% gloss version of the 2X yet (if it exists).

Jim, do you need someone to build the diff? I have a great contact in New Hyde Park who can help. LMK!

----NAPA has several different restoration black rattle can paints. Flat, I think two semi blacks. What I love about the stuff is the cans always spray correctly and never plug up. Try them, you will like them too!.....Bill S

SEM Trim Black works just awesome and looks just like powder if you prep the diff nicely. This one was sprayed in SEM after I sanded it down some. Turned out beautiful. I have also used the VHT brand high temp roll bar black which is a satin black color.

Thanks for all the replies, much appreciated. Dan, Thx for the rear builder, recommendation, I have a long time guy right in my town that can put together a 12 bolt better than anybody I have ever seen, been doing my rears forever, never a hiccup.
Have used SEM Trim in the past, always had good results, will probably go with that
